Early Years

Jack was born to Anna Amelia Irma Kemmerle (Grandmoo) and Edward Phillip Pennington (Pappy) on November 22, 1920. He grew up on a farm in Missouri, and though not encouraged to go to school, was very interested in his education.

Jack flew a spotter plane in WWII for the army. His job was to find enemy (targets) and report positions to artillery.

Middle Life

After the war, Jack lived in New Orleans, Louisiana and worked as a geologist.

As Jack was a geologist, he spent a good amount of time looking (prospecting?) for oil. He started his own business for this in Houston during the 80's called Penexco.

Jack currently lives alone, but visits his wife Margaret several times a week. He also regularly sees Cathy Pennington and Patricia Corres, his daughters that live in Houston. He remains a master at correspondence, though his eyesight is fading, making larger fonts necissary.
